- Description
- Curriculum
This course provides a practical introduction to structural engineering design using ProtaStructure, one of the industry’s leading structural analysis, design, detailing, and documentation software packages. The course is designed to equip participants with the fundamental knowledge and skills required to model, analyze, design, and document reinforced concrete building structures using industry-standard workflows.
Participants will learn the core principles of structural engineering and how these principles are implemented within ProtaStructure. The course begins with an overview of structural systems, load paths, design standards, and building components before progressing into the practical use of the software.
Through a step-by-step project-based approach, learners will develop a complete structural model, define materials and loading conditions, perform structural analysis, review analysis results, design structural elements, and generate drawings and reports. The course emphasizes real-world applications and industry best practices to ensure learners gain practical experience that can be applied immediately in professional environments.
By the end of the course, participants will understand the complete workflow involved in designing reinforced concrete structures using ProtaStructure and will be prepared to progress into more advanced structural engineering and detailing courses.
